Since internet viewers now have access to both video on demand services and video streaming services over the internet, doesn't this tell us about the success of
broadband internet connectivity? Wouldn't this even give us the promise of smooth online mobile video entertainment through those miniature versions of desktop PCs and mobile phones? But currently, the main choice of the video-loving internet-viewing public is a DSL connection. Why?
You see, most, if not all, locations on this world of ours now have broadband internet connection capabilities, specifically DSL internet connectivity. DSL internet connections have replaced dial-up internet connectivity services as the most widely used type of internet connection of the masses. This is because
DSL connections have become cheaper and cheaper, and the prices for such a connection are still being less and less expensive through the consistent passage of time. With this, video streaming, internet radio, video on demand, audio streams, and even VoIP are fast becoming the system of communications and entertainment for the internet viewing population. But the future promises an even larger change in the way we entertain ourselves as well as communicate with each other. Yes, that's because of mobile internet viewing and wireless communications through those mobile phones and various handheld gizmos. Still, even if we are nearing this stage, DSL internet connectivity would still continue to reign as the primary access point to information, communications, and entertainment over the internet. That is, unless a faster and more affordable internet connection gets in the way of DSL. Plus, throw in mobile and wireless capabilities for those systems, and you give DSL service providers a run for their money!
