Civilization today would indeed be unimaginable without the telephone. The telephone is available in many forms almost unrecognizable from its original design and purpose. The Internet phone allows people to converse in real time through voice signals sent through the Internet. Internet phone is much cheaper than line phone. However, it is still in its infancy and the use of line telephones are most likely here to stay.
